About the Society

The Pakistan Society of Sugar Technologists (PSST) is a fraternity of sugar technologists and agronomists working in sugar mills, allied industries, commercial organizations, and research institutions of Pakistan and abroad. Formed as the Pakistan Sugar Technologists Association in 1955, the Society adopted its present name at the 1966 Lahore convention.

Since its inception, PSST has been actively engaged in advancing standards across all related fields and helping solve the technical and agronomic problems faced by the sugar and allied industries. For dissemination of knowledge, the Society arranges annual conventions, regional technical workshops, and agricultural workshops. All proceedings are published, and during the crushing season, monthly synopses of mill results are circulated to members.

The Society's activities are arranged by an elected council comprising the President, three Vice Presidents, and the General Secretary-cum-Treasurer, working under the Society's Rules & Regulations.
